Description:

DST is seeking experienced Oracle Hyperion Essbase consultants who are willing to travel in the Northeast Region (CT, NY, NJ, PA and DE). Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years hands on experience working with Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools and a minimum of 5 years of progressive IT project experience.

Responsibilities:

The consultant may work alone, as part of a DST team or as part of a client managed project team to implement Essbase based solutions across many different industries and will help DST clients to maximize the return on their technology investments.  Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Gathering and analyzing business requirements
  2. Participating in determining standards and best practices
  3. Facilitating the Software Project Lifecycle process
  4. Designing and implementing Essbase systems
  5. Tuning and optimizing existing applications
  6. End user training and knowledge transfer to the client support teams

Required Technical Skills/Experience:

  1. At least 3 years of Essbase development/implementation experience
  2. Oracle Essbase Certification a plus
  3. Overall 5 yrs+ IT experience
  4. At least 2 years+ consulting experience preferred
  5. Demonstrated proficiency with Essbase Administration Services (EAS), Essbase Studio, Essbase Integration Services (EIS) or Enterprise Performance Management Architect (EPMA)
  6. Demonstrated proficiency with Essbase Add-in for Excel and/or SmartView Office Add-in
  7. Demonstrated capability to architect, design and build all aspects of an Essbase system including outlines, load rules, calculations scripts
  8. Solid understanding of Essbase security filter definitions and concepts
  9. Strong command of Block Storage (BSO) concepts including implications of dense/sparse dimensionality
  10. Strong understanding of the differences/advantages/disadvantages of Block Storage (BSO) vs. Aggregate Storage (ASO) database options
  11. Demonstrated understanding of various partitioning strategy and the ability to articulate the pros and cons of each approach and to make appropriate recommendations when necessary
  12. Ability to tune and optimize applications for optimal data load, calculation and query performance
  13. Able to develop system automation using ESSCMD and MaxL scripts
  14. Experience with Essbase v9.x.x and/or Essbase v11.x.x required
  15. Solid understanding of relational database concepts and ability to work with Oracle PL/SQL and/or Microsoft T-SQL
  16. Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and Unix operating systems
  17. Strong understanding of DOS Command and Unix shell scripting languages
  18. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Excel VBA

The consultant may work alone, as part of a DST team or as part of a client managed project team to implement HFM for corporate financial consolidation solutions across many different industries and will help DST clients to maximize the return on their technology investments.  Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Gathering and analyzing business requirements
  2. Participating in determining standards and best practices as related to the financial close and consolidation processes
  3. Designing and implementing HFM applications
  4. Tuning and optimizing existing HFM applications
  5. End user training and knowledge transfer to the client support teams

 Required Technical Skills/Experience:

  1. At least 3 years of HFM implementation experience
  2. Hyperion Financial Management Certification a plus

  5. CPA or other US GAAP/IFRS Experience required

  3. Facilitating the Software Project Lifecycle process
  4. Designing and implementing FDM implementations involving a variety of source and destination systems
  5. Tuning and optimizing existing FDM applications
  6. End user training and knowledge transfer to the client support teams

 Required Technical Skills/Experience:

  1. At least 3 years of FDM implementation experience
  2. Overall 5 yrs+ IT experience
  3. At least 2 years+ consulting experience preferred
  4. Experience with FDM v9.x.x and/or FDM v11.x.x required
  5. Demonstrated capability to architect, design and build all aspects of an FDM implementation including creating and managing locations, logic groups, logic accounts, financial controls, validation rules, etc.
  6. Demonstrated capability to successfully integrate Hyperion EPM products with Oracle and other third party GL applications
  7. Solid understanding of relational database concepts and ability to work with Oracle PL/SQL and/or Microsoft T-SQL
